My Ikea Trip

I remenber when it used to be my favourite place to hang out. Affordable food, nice environment and most of all clean and non greasy plates, trays, cups and cutleries, as in really clean ones for a cafeteria standard. But that was a few years ago, when u go to Ikea now, u'll notice that eventhough they have clean plates and all but it smells like food, which means that it's not really clean. Tables greasy and it's very very very hard to find a seat, esp during weekends. And u notice that eventhough Ikea have this policy where u have to send ur own trays to the 'tray stations', people do not really practice that, they'd rather wait for the cleaners to come and clean the crap that they left on the tables. I heard oneof the mak cik said " Tak apa, biar je, buat ape Ikea bayar cleaner gaji kalau kita yang buat kerja diorg". Hellooo! Do u not notice that there're not many cleaners around? And it was written kot that its better for u to send ur own trays. Come on la mak cik.

Maybe due to increase in numbers of customers causes the quality to drop, but still, why not expand? Now I have to go on weekdays to have the kind of Ikea ambiance I missed so much. But I guess it's a good sign that Ikea's here to stay. Low cost, ok quality, nice design. Thank God there's only one Ikea in Malaysia i.e KL or else it could've killed all those small furniture distributors in other places as well. There used to be this one light shop that me and Mama used to go before Ikea, it has a few branches all over KL but after a few years there's only one left in SS2. I can't remenber the name but I know that the designes are not as mordern and quite expensive.
