My first yoga lesson at My Yoga Sanctuary, Bandar Utama! Night Hashtanga class at 7.30pm. I was afraid of yoga, um, more like trying yoga, I was even thinking of skipping, or cancel the class or just burn the RM28 voucher because honestly it kindda scares me. But my first class with Azmi Samadjaga was fun. He was cool and patient and has some kind of a friendly aura around him which makes me feel comfortable learning the poses. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect from yoga, I have no purpose of practicing it but what I do know is, I wanted to try something new that I've never tried before, and yoga is one of them.
Today I went to the Morning Hatha class which starts at 7am, I went out of the house at 6.30am and reach just in time. I don't know what drove me to be so enthusiastic about yoga which enables me to actually wake up early, I can't even wake up for normal class usually but I did to my suprise. This morning class has fewer people compared to last night's of 16, there were only 6 of us which gives Azmi the flexibility to move around and correct our pose. At one point he was like " Liyana, bent your kneee!Your foundation is not correct, correct your foundation first before you move on with the hands!" and I was like, "Okay, okay". I am sorry that I was such a difficult student but fret not, I'm still coming to your classes, whether you like it or not. :) Ok la, I was a bit embarassed, but I want to do better in yoga, I want to be able to do poses without you correcting my poses. (That's a lot of poses). But yes, I'm gonna do better! And I'm gonna keep coming to classes until 10th May before flying off to Spain!
Oh yeah, I bought the voucher for My Yoga Sanctuary from Groupon Malaysia (GroupsMore!). Unlimited Yoga for a month for only RM 28! Awesomeness.
